Welcome to Sudbury Art Collective
Who are we?
We are a group of practising artists and makers whose workplaces are all within walking distance of the centre of Sudbury.
We are committed to continuing the town’s cultural heritage, first established by Thomas Gainsborough and John Constable, by sharing our work and creativity.
‘In Sudbury, you are never more than six feet from an artist’. Maggie Hambling, Suffolk artist.
Get to know us...
As well as exhibiting locally, the Collective holds an annual Art Trail weekend. All within walking distance of the town centre, artists and makers open their studios to welcome visitors, show you their work, tell you how it is made and what has inspired them. There’s the opportunity to buy direct from the artists too, with a wide variety of 3D work, prints, paintings and artists’ cards on sale.
Check on the EVENTS page for dates and more information.
While you’re here:
Sudbury has plenty of coffee shops and restaurants so make sure to take time to explore our historic market town. Don’t miss the National Centre for Gainsborough at Gainsborough’s House, and the Mill Tye Gallery and Arts Centre, a pleasant stroll away along the riverside path.
